About Explore the karnak temple The Karnak Temple is an ancient religious complex located in Luxor, Upper Egypt. It is one of the largest religious complexes in the world and is dedicated to the god Amun. The complex was first constructed in the 12th dynasty around 1990 BC and has been expanded and remodeled extensively over the centuries. The Karnak Temple is open daily from 7:00am to 5:00pm. Admission is 50 Egyptian pounds for foreigners and 10 Egyptian pounds for Egyptians.
