About Kutrallam The Kutrallam Cave is a natural limestone cave located in the Western Ghats mountain range in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. The cave is known for its religious and spiritual importance and is a popular tourist destination. The cave is located in the Theni district, about 10 kilometres (6.2 miles) from the town of Bodinayakanur. It is a large cave, measuring about 9,000 square metres (97,000 square feet), and is divided into two main sections, the Upper Cave and the Lower Cave. The Upper Cave is the larger of the two and is home to a number of Hindu shrines, while the Lower Cave is known for its natural formations and is popular with tourists.
