About National war museum The Pune National War Museum is a museum located in Pune, Maharashtra, India. It was inaugurated by the then President of India, Pratibha Patil, on 26 January 2013. The museum commemorates India's soldiers who have died in various wars and conflicts. The museum contains a collection of arms and armour, including a sword used by Tipu Sultan, and a shield used by Shivaji. It also contains a collection of uniforms and medals. The museum is open from Monday to Saturday, 10:00am to 5:00pm.
