About Neemrana fort palace This magnificent fort palace is located in the town of Neemrana, in the Alwar district of Rajasthan. It was originally built in 1464 as a defensive outpost for the Mehrangarh Fort in Jodhpur. It was later acquired by the Raja of Neemrana in 1501, and has been in the possession of the Raja's family ever since. The fort palace is a beautiful mix of Mughal and Rajput architecture, and is surrounded by lush gardens and a large lake. It is now a popular tourist destination, and is often used as a venue for weddings and other special events.
