Diya Kumari, the granddaughter of Man Singh II (Jaipur's last sovereign king), has stated that the Taj Mahal was built on land that had belonged to Raja Jai Singh of Jaipur. Mughal emperor Shah Jahan, she added, bought the territory.
Diya Kumari, a BJP MP, said that papers from the erstwhile Jaipur royal family would support the claim.
She told reporters that, despite the fact that compensation was offered in lieu of the land, she has no idea whether it was accepted because she has not read the documents in the 'pothikhana.' "However, the land belonged to our family and had been bought by Shah Jahan," says the speaker.
She went on to say that there could have been no appeal because there was no judiciary at the time and that everything will become evident only after reviewing the records.
In addition, the royal member is backing a petition in the Allahabad High Court about the opening of the Taj Mahal's 22 rooms and the truth that lies there. She claimed that the rooms should only be unlocked if they are valid and that the world should know why they are locked.
"Before the Taj Mahal, there may have been anything, even a temple." "People have a right to know what existed before the'maqbara,'" Kumari remarked.
Kumari said, " "What I'm saying is based on what I've observed and heard. I haven't gone over the records. If necessary, we can give the records to the court. We can only come to a decision after reviewing the records."
