About Wular Lake

Anantnag Wular Lake is one of the largest fresh water lakes in Asia. The lake is located in the Anantnag district of Kashmir valley in the Indian state of Jammu and Kashmir. The lake has an area of about 161 square kilometers and is about 33 kilometers long and 9 kilometers wide. It is fed by the Jhelum River and the discharge from the lake is about 204 cubic meters per second. The lake is an important tourist attraction and is also a popular spot for fishing.
