Aurangabad Daulatabad Fort, also known as Devgiri Fort, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site located in Aurangabad district of Maharashtra state in India. The fort is also known as the “Fort of Victory”. The fort was built by the Yadava dynasty in the 12th century. It was later captured by the Delhi Sultanate and the Bahmani Sultanate. The fort was eventually captured by the Mughal Empire. The fort is a triangular fortress with a total of seven gates. The fort is surrounded by a moat. There are also a number of temples and other structures within the fort. The fort is open to the public. There is an entrance fee for visitors.
