Bhimbetka is a pre-historic archaeological site in Hoshangabad district of Madhya Pradesh, India. It is located in the southern foothills of the Vindhya Range, about 45 km from the city of Bhopal. The site consists of a group of natural rock shelters, spread over an area of 8 km², that has been used by humans for over 30,000 years.
