About Chiang Rai
Chiang Rai is a province located in the far north of Thailand. The province is bordered by Myanmar to the north and west, Lampang and Chiang Mai provinces to the south, and Lamphun and Tak provinces to the east. The province is divided into nine districts: Chiang Rai, Mae Chan, Mae Fa Luang, Mae Sai, Mae Salong, Pai, Phan, Phrae, and Wiang Haeng. The province’s attractions include the Golden Triangle, hill tribes, and the ruins of the ancient city of Chiang Saen.
