Chitrakoot is a small town in the Satna district of Madhya Pradesh, India. The town is located on the Kamadgiri hill, and is considered a holy place by Hindus. Chitrakoot is said to be the place where the Hindu god Rama and his wife Sita spent 11 years of their exile.
