About Nagarhole National Park
Nagarhole National Park is a national park in the Indian state of Karnataka. It is one of the largest national parks in India. The park was established in 1955 and is located in the Kodagu district of Karnataka. The park is contiguous with the Bandipur National Park to the south and Mudumalai National Park to the east in the Nilgiri Hills. Nagarhole National Park is a haven for wildlife enthusiasts.
The park is home to a wide variety of animals including elephants, tigers, leopards, gaur, sambar deer, chital, barking deer, sloth bears, and dholes. There are also a wide variety of bird species in the park, including peafowl, jungle fowl, Indian mynah, black drongo, and green bee-eater. Nagarhole National Park can be reached by road from Mysore or Bangalore. The park is also accessible by railway, with the nearest station being Mysore Junction.
