About Ayasofya Hurrem Sultan Hamam
Istanbul Ayasofya Hurrem Sultan Hamam is a Turkish bath located in the district of Fatih in Istanbul. It was commissioned by Hurrem Sultan, the wife of Suleiman the Magnificent, in 1556. The hamam is a rectangular building with an octagonal dome. The exterior is simple and austere, with a bare brick facade. The interior is lavishly decorated with marble, mosaics and stained glass. The hamam is still in use and is a popular tourist attraction.
