Kadalundi Bird Sanctuary

The Kadalundi Bird Sanctuary is a protected bird sanctuary in Kozhikode district, Kerala, India. It is situated in the Kadalundi River estuary. The bird sanctuary was declared as a protected area in 1995. It is one of the important bird sanctuaries in Kerala.

The Kadalundi bird sanctuary is home to a variety of bird species. Some of the common bird species found in the sanctuary include the Indian cormorant, the little cormorant, the darter, the spot-billed pelican, the painted stork, the Asian openbill stork, the black-headed ibis, the white-breasted waterhen, the common moorhen, the Indian pond heron, the grey heron, the purple heron, the little egret, the great egret, the cattle egret, the Indian squacco heron, the black-shouldered kite, and the white-tailed sea eagle.

The best time to visit the Kadalundi Bird Sanctuary is from November to February.
