About Asamkirche
The Asamkirche is a Protestant church in Munich, southern Germany. It is located in the city center, in the district of Maxvorstadt. The Asamkirche was designed by the Asam brothers, Cosmas Damian and Egid Quirin, who were both Baroque architects. Construction started in 1733 and the church was consecrated in 1746. The Asamkirche is a hall church with a central nave and two side aisles. The ceiling is decorated with frescoes and the walls are covered with stucco. The church has a Rococo interior with marble altars and a pulpit. The Asamkirche is the only surviving building from the Asam brothers' workshop. FAQ's on Asamkirche
