About Osu Kannon Temple

Nagoya Osu Kannon Temple is a Buddhist temple located in the Osu district of Nagoya, Japan. The temple was founded in the Heian period (794-1185) and is said to have been built on the site of a shrine dedicated to the goddess Kannon. The temple is famous for its large statue of Kannon, which is said to be the largest statue of the goddess in Japan. The temple is open from 8:00am to 4:00pm.
