About Laodikeia
The ancient city of Laodikeia is located in the Denizli Province of southwestern Turkey. The city was founded in the late Hellenistic period, and was one of the most important cities in the region. Laodikeia was known for its textile production, and was also famous for its hot springs. The city was destroyed by an earthquake in the mid-6th century AD, and was never rebuilt.
