About Paliakara Church
The Paliakara Church is a prominent Christian pilgrimage center located in the Paliakara village of Pathanamthitta district in the Indian state of Kerala. Dedicated to the Virgin Mary, the church is also known as the Our Lady of Paliakara Church. The church is believed to have been founded in the 8th century AD by the Syrian Christian traders who were active in the region. The present structure of the church was built in the 15th century AD.
