About People's Square
The Shanghai People's Square is a public square in Shanghai, China. Located in the Huangpu District, it is the largest city square in the world. The square was originally built in 1954 and named after the People's Republic of China. In 1992, the square was renamed to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China. The square is surrounded by the Shanghai Municipal People's Government Building, the Shanghai Museum, the Shanghai Grand Theatre, and the Shanghai Municipal History Museum. FAQ's on People's Square
