About Trekking
Sonamarg is a small town situated in the Kashmir Valley, at a height of 8,000 ft (2,438 m). It is located on the banks of the Sind River, a tributary of the Jhelum River. The town is surrounded by high mountains, including the Harmukh and Nanga Parbat massifs. It is a popular tourist destination, with many visitors coming to enjoy the natural scenery and the winter sports.
