- This geologic wonder, a fracture in the earth's surface, offers breathtaking views.
- Enjoy sights of Mount Longonot, a stratovolcano with an 8x12 km caldera.
- Continue past a small Italian Catholic church built in 1942 during World War II when Italians were prisoners of war, as Kenya was still a British colony.
- Arrive at Lake Naivasha in time for lunch and a brief rest before the afternoon's activities.
- Begin with a one-hour boat ride on the only freshwater lake in the Kenyan Rift Valley, home to hippos and over 400 bird species.
- Observe pied kingfishers in action and the African fish eagle hunting for fish, mainly common carp.
- Later, choose between a horse ride or a nature walk at Crescent Island or Sanctuary Farm.
