About Mount abu wildlife sanctuary The Mount Abu Wildlife Sanctuary is a protected area in the Aravalli Range of Rajasthan, India. It is located in the Sirohi district, around 25 kilometres from Mount Abu, the only hill station in Rajasthan. The sanctuary was established in 1960, and covers an area of 194.4 square kilometres. The sanctuary is a home to a large variety of animals, including leopards, sambar deer, nilgai, chinkara, and peacocks. It also has a rich birdlife, with over 260 species recorded, including the critically endangered Indian vulture.
