About Bala Quila Fort

The fort is situated in the city of Alwar in the Indian state of Rajasthan. It is located on the eastern bank of the Nahar River. The fort was originally built by Prithviraj Chauhan III in the 12th century. It was later rebuilt by the Rajput king, Man Singh I in the 16th century. The fort was taken by the Mughal emperor, Aurangzeb in 1679. The fort was later recaptured by the Marathas in 1771. It was eventually taken by the British in 1803. The fort is now a tourist attraction.
