About The Church of Santa Maria Novella and museum
The Basilica of Santa Maria Novella is a church in Florence, Italy, situated just across from the main railway station, Santa Maria Novella. The church was founded in the 13th century by the Dominican friars. The church, the adjoining cloister, and the chapterhouse contain a large number of frescoes by masters of the Florentine school, dating from the 14th and 15th centuries. The Brunelleschi-designed facade and the Ghirlandaio frescoes in the Tornabuoni Chapel are among the church's most famous features. The church is also home to the Cappella dei Magi, which contains frescoes by Benozzo Gozzoli. Per Person 12,800
