The Tower of London

The Tower of London is a historic fortress located on the north bank of the River Thames in central London. It is one of the most famous tourist attractions in the city.

The Tower of London was originally built in the eleventh century by William the Conqueror. It served as a royal palace and fortress. The Tower was also used as a prison, and many famous English prisoners were held there, including Sir Thomas More and Queen Elizabeth I.

 

Today, the Tower of London is a popular tourist attraction. Visitors can see the Crown Jewels, the Beefeaters, and the Tower Ravens. The Tower also has a number of exhibits that tell the story of the building and its prisoners.
