History of Alamgir
Alamgir was born on April 17, 1618, in the city of Patna, in the Mughal Empire. He was the son of Emperor Aurangzeb and his first wife, Dilras Banu Begum. Alamgir was originally named Prince Mohammed Azam, but he was later given the title Alamgir, meaning "Conqueror of the World."
