The Luxor Abou al-Haggag Mosque is one of the most important religious sites in Luxor. It is dedicated to the medieval Sufi saint, Abou al-Haggag. The mosque was built in the late 19th century by the Khedive of Egypt, Ismail Pasha. The mosque is located in the heart of Luxor, on the east bank of the River Nile. It is close to the Luxor Temple and the Valley of the Kings. The mosque is a large, square building with a minaret at each corner. The walls are covered with carved limestone, and the ceiling is decorated with wooden beams and intricate carvings. The mosque is open to the public and visitors are welcome to tour the interior.
