Malana is a village located in the Kullu district of Himachal Pradesh, India. It is about 25 km from the town of Kullu and is situated on a ridge at an altitude of 2,600 metres (8,500 ft). Malana has a population of about 1,100.
The village is known for its production of hashish, a drug made from the cannabis plant. Malana cream, a high-quality hashish, is said to be the best in the world. The village has a reputation for being a remote and independent community that has resisted interaction with the outside world.

The people of Malana are said to be the descendants of Alexander the Great's troops. They are said to have descended from a group of soldiers who were left behind after Alexander's withdrawal from the region. The people of Malana speak a unique form of Hindi that is unintelligible to other Hindi speakers.
The village is a popular tourist destination, with many people coming to visit the unique culture of the Malana community. The village is also a popular destination for hikers and climbers, with many people coming to climb the nearby Malana Glacier.
