Known for its famous Hyderabad Biryani and its rich culture, Telangana is located in the southern part of India. The state is dotted with numerous historical sites, including the Charminar and the Golconda Fort, which make it one of the most interesting places to visit. Telangana shares a perfect geographic border, which makes the place more appealing to visitors. It is bordered by the states of Maharashtra to the north, Chhattisgarh to the east, Andhra Pradesh to the south, and Karnataka to the west.

Going back to history, the Hyderabad State was founded by Mir Osman Ali Khan, the last Nizam of Hyderabad, on November 26, 1947. As an independent and constitutional monarch, the Nizam ruled the state. Hyderabad was the largest and most prosperous of British India's 565 princely states. Following British India's partition in 1947, the Nizam acceded to the new Union of India, and Hyderabad was incorporated into the Indian Union. On November 1, 1956, the Hyderabad State was divided into the states of Hyderabad and Telangana. Telangana was established as a separate state, and the rest of the Hyderabad state was established as the Hyderabad region. Telangana was not declared a newly formed state until 2014, and Hyderabad was designated as the state capital.

One of the interesting facts about Telangana is its people, who are known for their friendly demeanour and warm hospitality. The region is known for its delectable cuisine, vibrant festivals, and awestruck architecture. Because the weather is hot and dry for most of the year, it is best to plan your trip during the winter.

If you are unsure about which cities to visit while in Telangana, we have listed some of the must-see cities.

Enroute Hyderabad View Gallery - 6
Hyderabad, located around the Musi River, has a rich history, making it one of the best places to learn about its culture and people. Hyderabad is India's fourth most populous city, with a rich history dating back to the 14th century.

The Sultan of Delhi, Muhammad bin Tughluq, founded Hyderabad. The city was originally known as Bhagyanagar before being renamed Hyderabad by Mughal emperor Akbar in 1591. The Mughals ruled Hyderabad until 1724, when it was annexed by the Maratha Empire. The city was eventually given to the Nizam of Hyderabad, who ruled Hyderabad as a separate state. The British eventually annexed Hyderabad in 1868. In 1948, Hyderabad was designated as the state capital. Hyderabad joined the Indian Union in 1956. Hyderabad is now Telangana's largest city.

Today, Hyderabad is home to major corporations such as Microsoft, Google, Amazon, and Facebook. Above all, Hyderabad is known for its monumental infrastructure, such as the Charminar and Golcanda Fort. Hyderabad was historically known as a pearl and diamond trading centre, and it is still a significant centre for jewellery processing and trade. Tollywood, or the Telugu film industry, is also based in the city.
