Next on the list is the famous Sir Syed House. It is a museum and is dedicated to the life and work of Sir Syed Ahmed Khan, a 19th century Muslim reformer and educationist who lived in the house from 1858 to 1898.
The museum is of great importance and houses numerous collections of manuscripts, photographs, and other items related to Sir Syed's life and work. It also includes a library of books and journals on Sir Syed's work.
The house is a two-story building made of red sandstone. It has a large courtyard and a number of rooms, including a library, a mosque, and a hall. The house has been renovated a number of times, but the original architecture has been preserved.
Later, it was used as a girls' school and a library. It was then designated a national monument in 1998.
