Matheran is a picturesque hill station located in the Raigad district of Maharashtra, India. It is known for its breathtaking views, pleasant weather, and tranquil environment, which make it a popular weekend getaway destination for people from Mumbai and Pune.   Louisa Point From one point, you can see the sky touching the mountains and a civilisation located far in a valley. If you visit during monsoon, you'll also be captivated by waterfalls. Another view is of Lake Charlotte that looks like a diamond necklace when seen from here. Louisa Point also offers a clear view of Prabal Fort.   Panorama Point Panorama Point also serves as a good sunrise and sunset point. It can be reached by walk or pony, but trekking to this place is a wonderful experience. It takes 2 hours to reach the Panorama Point from Matheran market.   One Tree Hill Point This point is iconic due to small hill separated by valley in its upper half from main land; and with 1 tree on top. There are many shrubs around it and 1 is big. This is the last point on the 7 points trail recommended by the local guides.   Rambagh Point Perched in the Western Ghats, Matheran is an eco-sensitive region and the smallest hill station in India. Rambagh Point offers panoramic views of the verdant landscapes, and it is known for its breathtaking sunsets and tranquil ambiance.

Matheran, with its lush greenery and panoramic views, sets the stage for an adventure like no other — camping under the starry skies.   King George Point King George Point is the observation point from where the stunning waterfalls created from the waters of the Charlotte Lake can be spotted. During the rainy season when the excessive waters of the Charlotte Lake overflow, this flooded water forms enchanting cascades that gush down the verdant plateaus of Matheran.   Belvedere Point It offers an amazing view. This is one point people generally tend to miss, but is one of the best points in Matheran. About five minutes walk from One Tree Hill point, it offers an amazing view. Good for photography early in the morning or late in the evening.
