About Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II
Milan’s Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II is one of the world’s oldest shopping malls and a beautiful example of 19th century architecture. Commissioned by Napoleon III, the Galleria was designed by two of Italy’s most famous architects, Giuseppe Mengoni and Giuseppe Cusanelli. The Galleria is a huge, airy, and light-filled space with a glass roof, marble floors, and a grandiose double arcade. It’s home to some of Milan’s most prestigious shops, as well as a few cafes and restaurants. The Galleria is one of Milan’s most popular tourist destinations, and it can be quite crowded on weekends and during the holiday season. If you want to avoid the crowds, try to visit during the week or early in the morning. FAQ's on Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II
