About Padmaja naidu himalayan zoological park Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park is a zoological garden located in Darjeeling, West Bengal, India. It is one of the largest zoological parks in India, and is a member of the Indian Association of Zoos and Aquariums. The park was founded in 1958, and is named after Padmaja Naidu, the daughter of the first Indian Governor-General of India, Chakravarti Rajagopalachari.
The park is home to a wide variety of animals, including snow leopards, Asiatic black bears, Bengal tigers, and Indian rhinoceroses. It also features a number of birds, including Himalayan pheasants, white-backed vultures, and crested serpent eagles. The park has a number of exhibits, including a butterfly house, a reptile house, and a rainforest walk. It also has a number of picnic areas, as well as a children's play area.
The Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park is open from 9:00am to 4:30pm. Admission is free for children aged 3 and under, and tickets are available for purchase for all other visitors.
