About Ponte Dell'Accademia
The Accademia Bridge is a bridge in Venice, Italy. It crosses the Grand Canal near its southern end, and connects the Dorsoduro and San Marco districts. The current bridge, a steel girder bridge, was designed by engineers Riccardo Morandi and Eugenio Miozzi, and built in 1932. It is 448 feet long, has a main span of 328 feet, and a total width of 66 feet. It is a replacement for an earlier wooden bridge, which was designed by Antonio da Ponte and destroyed in a storm in 1855. FAQ's on Ponte Dell'Accademia
