About Lilau Square

The Lilau Square is a public square in the heart of the Macau Peninsula. It is located in the area between the Ruins of St. Paul’s and the Macau Peninsula, and is bordered by Avenida da Amizade, Rua da Felicidade, and Rua do Lilau. The square was originally known as the Largo do Lilau, and was renamed in 1985 to commemorate the visit of the then-Pope John Paul II. The square is now a popular gathering place for locals and tourists, and is home to a number of restaurants and shops.
