Some belief in clicking the moment whereas some believe in living the moment. Sangita Sanyal, our traveler friend, believes in the latter one. She is from Kolkata, West Bengal, and has developed her passion for traveling a few years ago. Sangita is a teacher by profession, likes to stay fit, and has run for many marathons. She also keeps an interest in cooking and singing.

Discovering Her Love For Travel

She went through a stressful period in her life and while overcoming it she had a spiritual experience. She decided that her life’s sole purpose will be dedicated to doing things that give her peace. Thus she found her happiness and peace in traveling. She started traveling two years ago. She mostly travels with her mother and aunt and on some occasions with her friends. Her journey is to seek happiness and peace and have fun amidst the search.

She has traveled mostly Northeast and some parts of Himachal in India. She says that clicking a lot of pictures during the trip distracts her from experiencing nature and its beauty at the best.

She has traveled to many places in India, like Darjeeling, Tumling, Dhotrey, Lepchajagat, Daeaipani, Mirik, Ramdhura near Kalimpong, Kurseong, Dharamshala, Mcleodganj, Naddi, Palampur, and many more.

Out of all these places, her favorite destinations are Naddi, Palampur, Dharamshala, Dharamkot, Mcleodganj.

My Perfect Dose For Peace: Mountains and Forest

Her choice and love for these places clearly describe that she loves traveling and exploring mountains and forest parts of India. She has not traveled abroad yet as she is busy exploring the rich beauty of India. The calmness of mountains and breathtaking beauty of forests gives her an invaluable experience.

Her best therapy to handle and untangle the complexity of life is by spending time with nature. Where one can find very intricate answers to life by visiting these conflict-free and relaxing places.

She says and I quote that “if I were given a choice between a diamond necklace and a vacation, she would definitely prefer the latter. A materialistic choice will not give her the kind of experience she will acquire by exploring or traveling to a destination.

Plan But Keep Some Room For Adventure

She always likes to plan her travels in advance. She lists out the places she would want to visit. Sangita prefers homestays over hotels as they are safe as well as budget-friendly. Homestay also gives you the feel and essence of local culture and food. She maintains an itinerary of the destinations she wants to visit and books car rentals in advance.

Planning in advance definitely saves time and energy and one can start venturing out as they get to their destination. But our traveler friend also says “Planning is good, but too much planning backfires. Leave some space for unexpected surprises.” Because memories are the only thing we bring back with us.

A Beautiful Soul

This generous soul has another beautiful way to find peace in her life. She rescues stray dogs and cats because we all deserve that love and care. This delightful gesture of Sangita is angelic.

Covid though has put a pause in her traveling but there is no pause in expressing generosity. We wish Sangita happiness and joy in her life. We really appreciate her attitude towards living a positive life as well as spreading the same with her kind gestures.
