The Elephant Falls

The Elephant Falls is a waterfall located in the East Khasi Hills district of the state of Meghalaya in northeast India. The falls are located approximately 33 km from the city of Shillong, the capital of Meghalaya.

The Elephant Falls are named for the elephant-shaped outcrop of rock at their base. The falls are divided into three sections, the Upper Fall, the Middle Fall, and the Lower Fall. Mawlynnong village
